Sunday Streets has been an excellent initiative to spread a sense of community and oneness. Mumbai North Central District Forum supports the initiative wholeheartedly.

I hope Sunday Street is aggressively advertised in the concerned locality and residents are given full opportunity to raise objections. Otherwise some would consider it a high handed imposition on par with the noisy, chaotic and surcharged events organized by local netas or baahoobalis... or religious institutions. (I am personally against additional disruptions, given that small and large festivals, local events, religious gatherings, marriage processions and loud midnight birthday greetings already disrupt local life for 30+ days a year. I accept, however, that people in my locality don't share my views, largely because... those who cause nuisance also accept nuisance caused by others. )
